Recall Ready

Want your dog to recall to you the first time, no matter how exciting that naughty squirrel is? How about having your dog to wait or stay in place until you are ready to recall them? What about laying down at a distance on command?

We play games that are all geared towards making you the most rewarding presence in any situation, no matter how strong the distraction is. We’ll be teaching your dogs to recall to a variety of different words and sounds: their name, your attention noise, into a position recall, and a specific recall word. Plus, we’ll be teaching a secure sit and wait or stay, AND down at a distance!

You never know the situation you could find yourself in with your pup, maybe you’re at the dog park and you just want your pup to recall instead of chasing them around the park for 30 minutes! Or there is a serious emergency and you need your dog to lay down immediately to be safe, no matter how far away you are!

Easy Walkies

Loose leash walking is always the goal that us dog owners aspire to. When we thought about getting our
gorgeous pups, we dreamt about sunny Sunday strolls or maybe hiking around the lakes, all with our
best bud by our side. Then reality hits and walks are just not fun. Your dog loves going on walks, but the
pulling is just insane! Or they see that bunny or dog and they are literally out of control! Sound familiar?

If you want to bring back the enjoyment in your walks, and be able to keep walking past any distraction,
then this class is for you!

Your relationship will skyrocket, Your dog will be engaged with you, and you’ll achieve the loose lead
walking that works for you and you dog. Extra plus; Leash Off – Game On, loose leash walking with no
leash? Yes!! Let’s do it!

Turn Away and Be Calm

Calmness is King! But we need disengagement too!

Does your dog have trouble settling down at home? The only way to make them sleep in the day is to
run them at the park for over an hour, and still might not work? Or does every noise distract them from
going to sleep? Do they bark nonstop? Had complaints from neighbours?
Worry not!! We have the solution!

Ideally we want our dogs to spend 80% of their day in calmness, in this program you’ll be learning the 3
types of calmness, plus, when and what you should be doing to help your dog be calm. But wait, there’s
more… Disengagement!

Disengagement is the flip side of this, we want our dogs to be calm, we need to teach them to disengage
from noises, sights, even sometimes us! We want them to have the confidence to stay on a cozy bed, fall
asleep and not be bothered by us moving around, doing the washing up or having a conference call!

Behaviour Box 101

Get the basics covered! In this program we cover the basics of obedience, but with a difference! We’ll be
teaching you dog to think about what the appropriate behaviour is at any given moment and choose the
right behaviour out of their behaviour box. Meaning, you don’t have to constantly be telling your dog
what to do, or more importantly, what not to do!

Does your pup have difficulty knowing when to leave your food, do they jump on the counters, jump up
at you or your guests, find it hard to stay sitting after you’ve asked them to sit?

We are going to cover some basic commands:

• Sit, Down and Stand
• Wait and Stay
• Impulse control
• Tolerance to frustration
• Engagement – Disengagement
• Name attention
• Staying on a boundary
• Going to a boundary because your dog wants to!
• Walking nicely
• Recall and more!

Don’t worry if your dog can already do some of these, we have many levels of challenges!
